For all children's or youth activities sponsored by the church, we require that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) fill out, sign and submit the Medical Permission and Liability Release Form and an Information and Medical Release Form for each child or youth. You may print both forms on your computer (click here), fill them out, and mail it to or drop them by the church office.

We welcome the Children at Gibsonville United Methodist Church!

Nurseries -- We offer nurseries for both Sunday School and Worship Service times.
Infant Nursery -- for children from 0 to 18 months old
Toddler Nursery -- for children from 18 months to 3 years old
Sunday Schools
Three and Four year-olds
Kindergarten through Fifth Grade -- a Rotation Model Sunday School. See description and references below*
Children's Church -- a Worship enrichment program for children from 4 years old through sixth grade. After Children's Time during the Worship Service, children are invited to leave the Sanctuary with their leaders for a time of fun and learning.
Vacation Bible School -- Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled spiritual adventure for boys and girls that provides focused Bible study and encourages real-life application. It is an important outreach for our church. Few other events offer the potential to reach out to children and even adults in our community the way Vacation Bible School does.

*Workshop Rotation Model Sunday School

In most churches who use the Workshop Rotation Model:

Sunday School attendance increases dramatically!

Entire congregations are involved and are reinvigorated!

The basic ideas of the Workshop Rotation Model Sunday School are:

Children's Sunday School focuses for several weeks on a single biblical story.
There are several workshops - art, computer, drama, video, etc. Students rotate each week to a different workshop.
Children have more fun while learning more, and actually want to come to Sunday School!
Leaders and Teachers are able to use their gifts and talents to serve.
