Youth Ministry

For all children's or youth activities sponsored by the church, we require that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) fill out, sign and submit the Medical Permission and Liability Release Form and an Information and Medical Release Form for each child or youth. You may print both forms on your computer (click here), fill them out, and mail it to or drop them by the church office.

Youth Summer Events

It’s hard to believe that it is time to think about activities for the summer. This summer the youth will be focusing on local missions and attending Spiritus in August.

During the months of June and July, the youth will have the opportunity to serve in many local missions. We will be helping with local church missions such as PB & J and VBS. We will volunteer in our community through Loaves and Fishes, Allied Churches and Greensboro Urban Ministries. We are also looking for a few new ways to serve.

Spiritus – August 11-13 or August 17-19

Join us for this wonderful beach retreat at Fort Caswell on Oak Island. Let Angela know if you have a preference for a particular weekend by April 15 and we will choose which weekend we are going. Registrations and a deposit are due by the end of the month. Watch for a youth mailing and emails with all the details.

Youth Room Renovation

The Youth are in the process of renovating both of the youth rooms. We will be painting, adding new seating, decorations and even a flat screen TV for videos. Watch for the “Youth Room Renovation” poster at the church for specific details on how you can help. Any and all donations will be accepted. For more information, contact Angela Marlowe or Michelle Zaiser.

Youth Ministry Mission Statement

The Gibsonville United Methodist Youth Ministry is committed to the reality that young people are an important and integral part of our church community. The youth program seeks to foster maturing in faith of the youth of our church and the surrounding community.

We affirm the gifts of our youth and we foster opportunities for young people to share their gifts with the larger community. The spiritual and social needs of the youth are to be met with the committed leadership, guidance and support of our church adults. The adults and youth of our church are therefore provided with the opportunity to grow together in Christian faith.

Through a variety of programs, events and outreach, we seek to draw young people into responsible participation in the life, work and mission of the church community.

We believe this ministry is to, with, by, and for young people and is a blessing for the entire community.
