PB&J Ministry
PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY MINISTRY--Wednesday Lunch
Bag lunches for children of several Gibsonville communities are packed an delivered every Wednesday morning.
Your donations of the following items will help with this project:
Creamy peanut butter
Grape jam (spreads better than jelly)
Single serve packages of fruit cups, juice boxes,
potato chips
Place all donations in the bins marked “PB&J” in the Welcome Center and Narthex.
Make a monetary donation earmarked as “PB&J”.
PACKING: Volunteers are invited to come to the church fellowship hall on TUESDAY night at 6:00pm to fill bags with everything except the sandwiches.
Then, WEDNESDAY morning at 9:00am, volunteers are invited to come to the church kitchen to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cheese sandwiches.
DELIVERY: Volunteers deliver starting at 10:00am via the bus. JOIN US!!!

Mission Collections
FRUIT COLLECTION SUNDAY
The first Sunday of every month, the church collects canned fruits for the Greensboro Urban Ministries food pantry. This collection of hundreds of cans of fruit help those in need balance their diets.
FOOD PANTRY
Collection every third Sunday, Gibsonville UMC supports the food pantry at
First Baptist Church, Gibsonville. Donations of food and monetary donations go through Gibsonville UMC and are delivered to First Baptist.
The Food Pantry at First Baptist Church is open on Wednesdays, 9:00am - 11:00am.
~ Bring donations to the Welcome Center at Gibsonville UMC and place in the appropriate bin.
FEED THE HUNGER - Packed 20,000 bags of food for world-wide distribution!!
5th SUNDAYS: Collections and Delivery
Every 5th Sunday and at other times of the year, church members bring in items for a local mission.
Collections Include (but not limited to):
- Book bags & school supplies for Blessing of the book-bags & Back To School Bash
- Individual chips, cookies and supplies for Allied Churches Bag Lunches
- Monetary contributions and filled boxes for Operation Christmas Child
- Fruit cups, chips, juice boxes, peanut butter, jelly, lunch bags for PB&J Ministry
(May - August)
- Individually wrapped candy for the community Truck-or-Treat event
- Monetary donations for the Community Christmas Party
- Healthy snacks for Out of the Garden Backpack Ministry for Gibsonville Elementary School
- Hats and Gloves for the Allied Church's Homeless Shelter
- Children's underwear for Allied Church's Shelter and Gibsonville Elementary School
