Introducing Kingdom Kids — Our restructured Thursday afternoon children’s program
As GUMC’s Thursday afternoon children’s program kicks off again on Aug. 8, we are excited to announce some changes.
First, a slight change in the time. The program will now run from 4 to 5:15, allowing us more time to feed the children a light supper each week without having to rush through our other activities. To reflect this, we are also changing the name of our Thursday afternoon program to Kingdom Kids.
We are trying a new approach for Kingdom Kids, telling one story over the course of several weeks, and building in more time for hands-on activities and for the children to build stronger relationships with each other and our adults.
The August schedule:
Thanks to a grant received by the church, a snack supper is served at the end of Kids Hour. We are excited to have this opportunity to share a meal with our children each week.
