YOUTH GROUP

Join us on Sunday afternoons from 5:00-6:30 pm for fun and fellowship! Youth group is open to youth in 8th through 12th grade.

Here is the schedule for March:

March 5 – Multimedia Game Night
March 12 – Movie making – the youth will make their own movies telling the story of the Good Samaritan to be shown in worship at a later time.
March 19 – "On Brand," a Bible study looking at the image youth create for themselves.

March 26 - Game night - youth are encouraged to bring a favorite board game to share.

Youth "Mid-Week Break"
The two youth rooms are open each Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 for any youth that want to come hang out for the whole evening or just for a few minutes. You can play ping pong, foosball or Wii, explore your creative side in the mini Maker Space, or just relax. Snacks are provided.

Sunday School

Picture
The youth are having Sunday School at the Gilded Bean, leaving church around 10 to walk over, returning in time for the 11 service. The church buys one drink or snack for each youth while they are at the Gilded Bean. The bus will be available to bring children and youth to Sunday School on March 12 and 26.

The youth are going on a week of missions and retreat from July 30 to Aug. 3. We will be going to the Hinton Center in western North Carolina and helping people living in poverty in Clay and Cherokee counties in North Carolina and Towns County, Georgia. The work could include things like painting houses, building porches or wheelchair ramps and doing yard work, with an emphasis on really getting to know the people they are serving.

While they will be doing some manual labor, the youth will also have lots of time to play and grow closer to each other and God. More information and a typical schedule can be found here.
