Tween youth group
The GUMC Tween Youth Group meet Sundays from 4 to 5:15 p.m. in the green room on the second floor of the church unless otherwise noted. The group will focus on building relationships with each other and with God while answering the spiritual questions children this age have, using a program called Be Bold. Transportation is available by contacting Director of Children and Youth Michelle Rash at 336-212-3424.

Corn maze outing
On Friday, Oct. 13, we will be taking the tweens to J Razz and Tazz Farm to do the corn maze in the dark. We will leave the church at 6:30 p.m. and hope to be back at 8:30 p.m., although that may depend on how long it takes us to find our way through the maze.

Middle school mario kart tournament
On Saturday, Sept. 30, Gibsonville United Methodist Church will be hosting a Mario Kart tournament for youth in 6th through 8th grades. The event will be held in the Fellowship Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free to attend. Snacks will be provided, and prizes will be awarded. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Participation in the tournament will be limited to 32 youth, so preregistration is encouraged.
2024 Summer mission trip

Planning is under way for the 2024 summer youth mission trip. We will once again be headed to Hinton Rural Life Center in the North Carolina mountains. This trip is open to youth who are 12 at the time of the trip through current high school seniors.
To take advantage of a 10% early registration discount, we are hoping to reserve our week by Dec. 1. The 2024 dates we are looking at are July 21-15 and July 28-Aug. 1. If you have preferred week, please let Michelle Rash know by Nov. 1. We will pick a date, based on family preferences, the first week in November, with the $150 deposit due by Sunday, Nov. 19.
