Our Mission:
We uplift, serve, and connect with God’s children and youth to instill a lifetime of faith and nurture Christian relationships. ​

The GUMC Tween Youth Group is for students in 5th through 8th grade and meets Sundays from 4 to 5:15 p.m. on the lower level of the church unless otherwise noted. The group focuses on building relationships with each other and with God while answering the spiritual questions children this age have. Transportation is available by contacting Director of Children and Youth Michelle Rash at 336-212-3424.

May 3 — Unlikely Heros: Josiah
May 10 — No Tweens (Mother’s Day)
May 17 — Mental health discussion (with 7th & 8th grade)
May 24 — No Tweens (Memorial Day Weekend)
May 31 — Unlikely Heros: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
June 7 — End of school celebration (with 7th & 8th grade)
7th and 8th grades
May 3 — God is Timeless and Present
May 10 — No Tweens (Mother’s Day)
May 17 — Mental health discussion (with 5th & 6th grade)
May 24 — No Tweens (Memorial Day Weekend)
May 31 — What is the Bible and Where Did it Come From?
June 7 — End of school celebration (with 5th & 6th grade)
A snack supper will be provided at the end of tweens each week. We are excited to have this opportunity to share a meal with them each week.
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, we offer two separate tween Sunday School classes, one for 5thand 6th graders and one for 7th and 8th graders. Both use the Bible Studies for Life curriculum and meet on the lower level of the church.
